The premise
Stop reading about AI.
Spend two weekends building with it.
Most people are learning how to use AI. Foundations teaches you how to build with it. This is not a passive lecture, not prompt-list training, not a generic AI overview, and not a coding bootcamp. It is hands-on, oriented around real business problems, and built around understanding the whole system while you build something of your own.

Both weekends run in person in 2622 S 162nd Street, New Berlin, WI 53151, Saturday and Sunday, roughly five hours each day, with one weekend off in between. Enrolling commits you to both weekends; the build you start on Day 1 carries through to Day 4.

The format
Bring your laptop. We're building.
Your hands stay on the keyboard. The instructor works directly with each student in a deliberately small room, demonstrating live, then watching you do it yourself, then troubleshooting with you when it breaks. Questions get answered in the room, in the moment, against your own build.

Who's teaching
Taught by a builder, not a lecturer.
Ben built a seven-figure ecommerce business and came to software the way most builders do: real business problems needed solutions. Today he actively builds real AI-assisted software, working across architecture, databases, APIs, automation, payments, security, debugging, and deployment.
That matters if you're new to this: you're learning from someone who approached software from the business side and had to figure out how the whole system fits together, the same path you're on now.
Who it's for

This is not intended as an advanced software-engineering course. It's the starting point for people who want to build, whatever their background.
Questions
Before you enroll
Do I need to know how to code?
No. There is no traditional coding prerequisite. The workshop is built for non-engineers and technical people alike. If you can describe your work clearly and use everyday software, you can build here.
What should I bring?
A laptop you can install software on, a charger, and ideally one real process, problem, or idea from your work or business. We supply the environment, the tools, and the coaching.
Where is the workshop?
In person at our workshop space in New Berlin, Wisconsin. There is no remote or video option because the format depends on being in the room.
How many people are in the room?
The room holds ten people and enrollment is capped at eight seats. It is small on purpose because coaching a live build takes attention, and every person gets time with the instructor.
What will I leave with?
A working build, an understanding of how the whole system fits together, and a repeatable process for making the next one, plus your notes and the tool list.
Is this just a ChatGPT/prompting class?
No. Prompting is one small piece. Foundations is about building real software and automation: interfaces, logic, data, APIs, debugging, and deployment, with AI as your build partner.
Can my company pay for my seat?
Yes. Companies regularly sponsor an employee's seat. Reach out at admin@klyent.app and we'll work out the details.
What if I cannot attend both weekends?
Enrollment commits you to both weekends because the build carries over from one to the next. If something comes up, seats may be transferred to a future cohort under the Refund & Transfer Policy. Read it before enrolling.
